Everything you need to set up and start using docPlus for your clinic.

Set up your clinic on docPlus in three simple steps.

  1. Sign up at docPlus.in/auth/register — enter your name, email, and clinic name.
  2. Verify your email and log in. You'll land on the clinic setup wizard.
  3. Add your clinic details (name, address, GSTIN), add doctors and staff, and you're ready to register your first patient.
  • You can skip GSTIN during setup and add it later in Settings.
  • Invite staff members during setup — they'll get an email with login instructions.
  • Your 30-day free trial starts automatically. No credit card required.

Register patients, search records, and view complete history.

  1. Click 'New Patient' from the dashboard or press 'N' on your keyboard.
  2. Enter patient details: name, phone number (used for quick lookup), age, gender, and address.
  3. The system auto-generates a unique patient ID. On return visits, search by phone number or ID.
  4. Click on any patient to see their complete timeline — consultations, prescriptions, lab orders, invoices, and documents.
  • Phone number is the fastest way to find returning patients.
  • Patient history is chronological — most recent visit at the top.
  • You can export patient data anytime from Settings > Data Export.

Schedule appointments, manage walk-ins, and run your queue.

  1. Go to Appointments from the sidebar. Click 'New Appointment'.
  2. Select the patient (search by name, phone, or ID), choose the doctor, and pick a date and time.
  3. For walk-in patients, click 'Walk-in' — they're added to the queue immediately.
  4. The queue dashboard shows all patients waiting, their status (waiting, in-consultation, done), and estimated wait times.
  • Set up doctor schedules in Settings > Doctors to enable online booking.
  • Patients can be moved between doctors if needed.
  • Use the token system for walk-in-heavy clinics.

Create digital prescriptions with the built-in drug database.

  1. During a consultation, click 'Add Prescription' or press 'P'.
  2. Search medicines by name — the drug database suggests matches as you type.
  3. Select dosage, frequency, and duration. Add instructions if needed.
  4. Click 'Generate' to create the prescription. Print it or send via WhatsApp.
  • Build your personal drug list for frequently prescribed medicines — saves time.
  • Prescription history is stored per patient for easy reference on follow-ups.
  • Drug interactions are flagged automatically when possible.

Generate GST-compliant invoices and track payments.

  1. After a consultation, click 'Create Invoice' from the patient's consultation page.
  2. The invoice auto-populates with consultation charges. Add additional items if needed.
  3. GST is calculated automatically based on your clinic's GSTIN and HSN/SAC codes.
  4. Select payment method (cash, UPI, card) and click 'Mark as Paid'.
  • Set up your GSTIN and HSN codes in Settings > Clinic > Tax before creating invoices.
  • Daily revenue reports are available on the dashboard.
  • Export invoices for GST filing from Reports > Financial.

Add staff members, assign roles, and manage permissions.

  1. Go to Settings > Users. Click 'Invite User'.
  2. Enter their name, email, and select a role (Doctor, Receptionist, Staff).
  3. They'll receive an email with a temporary password and login instructions.
  4. Manage permissions per role in Settings > Roles.
  • Clinic Owner has full access. Doctors can access clinical data. Receptionist handles appointments and billing.
  • Deactivate users instead of deleting them to preserve audit trails.
  • Two-factor authentication is available for admin accounts.
